Hectic Times
Gosh, the days may be at their longest just now, but with my current lifestyle it would be great if either the sun could make more allowances for me or God could make time stand still for a wee while so that I can catch my breath.
Finally the Scottish campaigners have been 'blessed' with a Scottish by-election...in Glasgow East of all places! Over the past few days I have been acquainting myself with the more hidden nooks of Calton, Parkhead, Baillieston and Shettleston. I'm so pleased that we organisers north of the border are finally being allowed to flex our abilities and have some more responsibility when making key decisions. Unfortunately, the down-side to a Scottish by-election is the absence of the crack-team workforce from down south who are understandably pretty reluctant to make the journey to Glasgow to trudge the streets.

At the moment even my social time is being squeezed although I'm still managing to make time for friends - energy-levels permitting! On Friday there will be a momentous happening in Edinburgh when we four Greenside Court girlies will be reunited for the first time since Helen's wedding. I'm being hostess with the mostess for the evening - I've already bought in the Choco Leibnitz biscuits (a St Andrews tradition). I think I'll be sticking to Ribena for the evening however, as Saturday sees me heading north to Balado for a heavy weekend of drinking - I'm off to T in the Park. After an unexpected turn of events, Fiona (Wylie) and myself spontaneously acquired a couple of tickets and thought it'd be a good laugh for the weekend. Having said this, a bit of luck with the weather would be so much the better (I've just order wellie boots online...to be on the safe side).
