So far so good

After a two day car journey via Sheffield I have finally made it to Cardiff. I got here on Monday and since then things have been going swimmingly! I have now met all five of my flatmates, Max, Luna, Gemma, Claire and Lee. They're all lovely and fairly susceptible to falling into my Neighbours/Home and Away routine - it's all good! My room is very new, and sparkly, and has been enhanced by a few choice items purchased in Ikea. I'm settling in well. Over the past few days I've been acquainting myself with my new city, I've walked into town, walked through the park, visited my local Tescos (it's ENORMOUS!), hunted out the Student Union, and sussed out where my European Studies department is. Cardiff really is a beautiful, very accessible city and every time I go out I find a new wee undiscovered corner.

It may sound as if I've been really busy this week, but actually it's been quite a chilled out week. I've done lots of lounging around on my new sofa and spent most mornings snuggled up in bed. That's not to say I haven't done any labour, I have. I was successful in getting a job at Cardiff Arms Park, working on the bar on match days. As you can imagine, I am in my element! I did my first shift yesterday at Cardiff vs Glasgow and I had a really good time. The beer and the banter were both flowing!
